The 2018 Acura RDX vs The 2019 Acura RDX

  • The 2019 Acura RDX now comes standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission with four different driving modes via the Integrated Dynamics System. The previous model featured a six-speed automatic transmission with only two select driving modes.
  • The available Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system is a considerable update to the previous model's all-wheel drive system. Whereas the previous model only distributed 40% of engine torque to the rear wheels, the SH-AWD® transfers 70% of engine torque to either the front or rear wheels to support the side with the most traction. In this manner, the new Acura RDX is much more adaptable to adverse weather conditions.
  • The available sports seats of the new Acura RDX now have 16 different adjustments for enhanced comfort and support of you and your copilot. Whereas, the previous model's sport seats were only four-way adjustable with eight-way adjustable seats available in a higher trim.
  • While both models had a power moonroof standard on all trims, the 2019 Acura RDX has an updated moonroof that's larger and wider than the previous model, making it one of the biggest moonroofs available on a luxury SUV.
  • The infotainment system of the 2019 Acura RDX now features a 10.2-inch full-HD True Touchpad interface unlike the previous Acura RDX model which featured a five-inch touchscreen in the base trim and an eight-inch navigation screen in the higher trims.
