In our most recent Acura of Little Rock team meeting, someone raised an essential question by way of a customer: "What are the most common vehicle maintenance tips to bear in mind?" According to our factory-trained service team, the following are three of at least a dozen vehicle service calls you should schedule periodically.

Brakes

The general rule suggests you should have your brakes checked roughly every 10,000 miles or once per year. Acura brake technology is always trend-forward and aligned to the most durable materials sourced globally, so you get plenty bang for your buck.

However, depending on your driving habits, seasonal weather in Little Rock, and the number of miles you log monthly, more frequent brake checks are advisable. Brakes are more than brakes; they're a series of related components that also need monitoring and changing, such as pads, cylinder, hoses, rotors, and fluids.

Oil

Engine oil is one of those vitally necessary automotive ingredients that should be changed more than less frequent, at least once or twice annually, or whenever you have your brakes checked. The oil keeps your engine lubricated, clean, and working efficiently.

Over time, even the highest quality oil collects dirt and debris, thickens, breaks down and compromises the efficiency and overall health of your engine. Your owner's manual has specific recommendations for oil change intervals.

You can also ask any member of our service team for advice about when it's best to change your oil. Our dedicated service department lives to make your vehicle's maintenance seamless, secure, and stress-free.

Tires

There are two major categories of tires, each with its own maintenance requirements: seasonal and all-season. As their name suggests, seasonal tires should be changed seasonally. Softer tires intended for winter are bound to wear down quickly in high temps.

Similarly, both seasonal and all-season tires benefit from periodic rotations. Rotations entail swapping tire positions to ensure more even tread wear. Based on the specific type and brand of tires you have on your vehicle, rotations may be in order every 6,000 to 8,000 miles.

We invite Acura drivers from Little Rock to schedule service at our dealership today. We look forward to meeting you and helping you keep your ride in tip-top condition for years to come.
